So, I’ve started a new blog.
It’s all about pop culture and how it’s totally changed my life!
Check it out here!!!
Don’t worry though folks, I’ll still be writing on this blog, but it will solely be about graphic novels. My new blog will be about movies, tv, books, etcetc (you get the drift, I’m sure!)
So, please, give it a look as I’m sure you’ll love it as much as “LisaLoves2read!!”

I love my city of Melbourne. I feel so damn lucky every single day to live in such an amazing part of the world, in such a European city, which is just the right size as not to be too big or too small.
For those who don’t know too much about it – here is some quick facts about Melbourne -
This is what it looks like -
*The world’s first feature film, the Story of the Ned Kelly Gang was filmed and made in Melbourne in 1906.
- *We love out coffee, which means that Melbourne is FULL of coffee shops – actually, Seattle reminded me of Melbourne, but with less of the San Fran feel to it.
- Melbourne had the first gay and lesbian radio station in the world.
- We have been voted the 3rd most liveable city in the world
- Famous people born in Melbourne – Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett, Rachel Griffiths, Kylie and Danni Minogue, Rupert Murdoch.
- We have an amazing Writers Festival each year, which brings down writers such as David Sedaris, Chuck Palanick, Augusten Burroughs, etc etc.
So, as you can tell, Melbourne is a pretty cosmopolitan city, but where, you may ask, are the cool places to find Graphic Novels??
Well, I hope to review quite a few comic book stores over the next few months and give my advice on where to shop for your favourite titles if you live, or are visiting, Melbourne town.
I’m going to work on a review on the preium spot for Graphic Novels “Minotaur” in Melbourne’s CBD.
I may also do a few reviews on comic book stores that I went to in Sydney as well…depends how long it all takes me really!
Till my next blog, take care all!

Oh yes, Amazon for a girl in Australia, who loves books, and especially expensive books like Graphic Novels, Amazon is a savour. A glowing light in the darkness, a beacon, the waterhole in a dessert…I’m sure you get the point now!
Because, as I have mentioned, being a GN fan, you either have to be super duper richie rich to get everything you want, or you have to, unfortunetly, bypass Australian bookstores, and buy your goodies from overseas.
Today, I recieved THIS beautiful collection off Amazon – - -
Another reason why I love Amazon (and NO I do NOT work for Amazon, I’m just an OCD ridden Graphic Novel lovin’ geek who loves Amazon…ok?) is that the parcels arrive SO quickly!! The estimated delivery date was March the 4th, and yet I got it TODAY – on he 31st of January! And it was the lowest shipping cost!!!
I haven’t really had a chance to read through the book yet, as I pretty much posted on here as soon as the mail man went ‘ding dong’ to our front door bell. – It’s a beautiful book though. It’s everything you want from a Graphic Novel really – big, chunky, just the right amount of text and pictures.
Here’s some of my favs – - -
This above guy shows how influences Jaime was by Archie comics growing up.
***I shall write a review when I finally read this beautiful collection, and let y’all know what I think!
